A Community Legal Centre or CLC as they are known is a not-for-profit provider of legal services or 'legal aid'. CLCs are principally funded by Federal, State and local governments, and quite often the personnel work on a pro-bono or pro-gratis basis.
A CLC works hard to ensure that those from poor or disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds can access justice when they need it most, ie. commonly in criminal matters.
This web site is under construction, but if you need to find a CLC please visit CLCs Australia, or Community Legal Centres NSW or the Federation of Community Legal Centres Vic if you are in either of these States.
