Job Title: General Sales Manager

Job Type: Full-Time

D-Patrick is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our team. In this role, you will direct sales activities, set performance goals, and lead our sales department to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities

\n
• Implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
\n
• Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
\n
• Monitors customer and market analyses to determine customer preference.
\n
• Establishes recommended unit sales and dollar gross profit objectives for the daily operating control.
\n
• Assists sales representatives with maintaining customer relationships, negotiating, and closing deals.
\n
• Maintains standards for delivery of vehicles to customers.
\n
• Assists with the development of advertising campaigns and other promotions.
\n
• Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
\n
• Complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect vehicle sales.
\n
• Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
\n
• Manages vehicle inventories in a time-sensitive fashion; attends auctions as necessary.
\n
• Enforces a three-day turn policy.
\n
• Establishes standards for appraising all vehicles, as well as establishing and controlling wholesaling.
\n
• Directly supervises 2–25 employees in the Sales Department, including interviewing, hiring, training, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding/disciplining staff, and resolving complaints.
\n
• Maintains satisfactory attendance and punctuality; performs other duties as assigned by management.
\n

Requirements

\n
• Education & Experience: High School Diploma and 2 years of related education OR 5 years of related experience.
\n
• Licensing: Valid Driver’s License and a good driving record.
\n
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), basic computer knowledge, good math/clerical skills, working knowledge of office machines, and the ability to interpret customer needs.
\n
• Attributes: Self-starter, highly motivated, honest, ethical, dependable, goal-oriented, organized, and a strong team player with a professional appearance.
\n
• Availability: Must be able to work weekends and overtime.
\n
• Physical & Environmental Demands: Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and sit; occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and occasionally to fumes/airborne particles.
